The Chevrolet Colorado delivers three capable engines, including an available 3.6L V6 with best-in-class horsepower and the GM-exclusive Duramax 2.8L turbo-diesel engine. Colorado's versatility ranges from work trucks to the off-road focused ZR2.

The Colorado ZR2 Bison joined Chevrolet's midsize truck lineup last year as an all-new performance variant. Bison is Chevy's first collaboration with American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), a premium off-road aftermarket manufacturer.

The Colorado ZR2 combines the nimbleness and maneuverability of a midsize pickup with the most off-road technology of any vehicle in its class. Colorado ZR2 is trail-ready with one-touch terrain select for desert, mud or mountains that adjusts the calibration of the engine, transmission and Traction Control to enhance performance. For the highway, segment-exclusive Multimatic shocks offer an exceptional ride on paved roads.

Colorado ZR2 delivers performance in a variety of scenarios, from technical rock crawling and tight two-track trails to high-speed desert running and daily driving. The front and rear track widths are widened 3.5 inches over a standard Colorado, along with the suspension lifted 2 inches higher.

Functional rock sliders offer better performance over rocks and obstacles, and the front and rear bumpers have been modified for better off-road clearance.

The front bumper has tapered ends to increase tire clearance when approaching obstacles. The bumper also integrates a thick, aluminum skid plate protecting the radiator and engine oil pan. The transfer case is protected by an additional shield.
